We have added a calendar. On the calendar the following information is available:
• Played and future matches are downloaded by the normal match synchronization.
• Skillraises and fully trained skills are shown for played matches and predicted for future matches.
• When a player can be promoted at the earliest.
• When did you promote your player to the senior team, when did you sell or fire your player. When were your players resold.
• Birthdays of your youthplayers.
• The next date when a friendly match has to be organized.
The calendar can function as a centralized view of these events. Have fun with it!
From now on you don't have to add your youth players manually. You can add a player into hattrick youthclub by copying and pasting. To do so copy the source code of the player's page in hattrick and paste it into the appropriate text area at the "Import player" page. Check out the video to find out how to do it! Have fun!
When you add a new player you no longer need to add every scout comment manually. You can copy & paste all scout comments into a box and they will be detected and inserted automatically.
Additionally you will see the average transfer price for a player on diagnosis/prediction. The values are generated from our users' input and can be wrong!
Copy & Paste of coach comments:
It is possible to copy the coach comments from hattrick.org and paste them into hattrick-youthclub.org. You no longer need to search for the comments and and adjust skill name and level. Have a look on our welcome-page where you'll find a short video with some introductions. Don't worry it is easy to use :)
Be careful, if copy & paste doesn't work most probably that's not a bug. Before reporting a bug, please check the following:
- Is the spelling of your player correct (including special characters)?
- Is the player on your line-up?
- Are the names of the skills on HY identical to the names of HT (you can find their names on player-details-site)?
- Is the comment availbale at HYC and is its spelling correct? (you can check that by adding the comment manually as you did before)
If there's a problem with a skill name, level or a coach comment please contact your HY language admin. If you are sure that everything is alright, report a bug from the page where the problem is reported.
Bookings and Goals:
We added the bookings and goals of your players on the player overview.
Skill calculation:
If you train a player on a certain skill and you do not know the maximum level of this skill yet, you will get a warning. The warning means that the player could already be fully trained, but we do not know it, because the coach didn't tell us something about his maximum in this skill . You have to be careful, if this warning appears.
Notices:
There is a new function to create notices. In addition to player notices you can now create global notices. You can edit or delete them as you like.

The semester has started. I hope you understand that development of HYC could become slower as during the last month. But we keep at it!
We implemented a subskill calculation. The calculation of the subskills is very tricky, because we do not have many information about your player's skills, but we are happy that the subskills seems to be good for the known data.
Always keep in mind, that the quality of the calculation depends on the database (scout-/coachcomments and minutes of training). Take care that you add substitutions and send-off events by hand.
We tested the subskill calculation and we were happy with the results. We hope that the subskill meet most of the time the real skill. Please report your feedback of the quality of subskill calculation on forum.
On your first visit to your matches page the page will be empty. After a synchronization with Hattrick all your matches will appear (don't worry, your matches are not lost). We are using every information for youth acadamies CHPP provides to us. Unfortunately the CHPP support is not very good. We opened a page, where you can inform yourself about the CHPP possibilities. Click on the CHPP logo on the matches page for further information.

We want to wish you a happy new year and thank you for your donations, which finance this project.
Just on time we brought some minor changes with us:
- You can exclude players from lineup recommendation. (Injured or suspended players are excluded automatically. Warning: Of course we do not know if the player has healed or is eligible to play again)
- A chat has been implemented which should help guests and our users to get their questions answered quickly. Of course you are welcomed to talk about anything else too and we are anxious to see if the chat will be used a lot.
Check the ToDo-list for new things to come or things which have already been done. As you can see some CHPP modifications are due, which will be implemented in late February at the earliest, because we are busy until then. These changes are far-reaching and will take some time. So, we haven't forgotten about it, we just need the time to do it. ;-)
We have adjusted the calculation of the 'new' training types (Defensive Positions, Wing Attacks, Through Passes and Shooting). Their calculation speed should be correct now.
Whereveer you have to enter player skills the skill order has been changed according to the new hattrick design.
And we want to inform you that user accounts which have not been changed to CHPP-Login by 31.12.2008 will be deleted. After migration to CHPP-Login is completed, the registration for new users will be simplified.
We are proud to inform you that Hattrick has provided to us one of the rare CHPP licences. But don't be too euphoric, because that doesn't mean everything is CHPP-ready right now. Converting a running system into CHPP conformity takes a lot of time. First thing we implemented is the login procedure, which is already CHPP compliant. Please be patient while we are busy adjusting the website step by step very carefully to ensure no data gets lost.
Still the CHPP features concerning the youth academy are sparse, so please don't set your expectations too high and allow us the time we need.

We want to inform you about two major updates (besides the small changes and improvements which are implemented continuously):
Already a few weeks ago we added a feature, where you can adjust the calculation of training effect and training length yourself. You can define your own values, choose the average values of other users or keep the standard ones. The average values change whenever a user sets his own values of course.
Secondly we added a page for national team scouts where the scouts can search our database for players who might become future national players. Players who match their requirements are shown and the scouts will then add them to the national scout database and contact you, the player's manager. Since we want to protect your privacy you can choose, whether your players should be seen by the NT-scouts or not. You can find the respective setting under "Edit my Account". By default your players are visible to the scouts.
So far only german scouts registered. If you are a national team scout of another nation and want to get access to the scouting page, drop a line to Mackshot. Of course you have to prove that you are involved in national team scouting - other managers won't get access.
We received some emails saying paypal isn't the best solution for all of you to make donations. We added the possibility to make donations by bank transfer - have a look at the 'Donate-Button' in the upper right corner.
Pick your set pieces taker every game. If you are training set pieces, this player will receive a training bonus as will your goalkeeper.
We linked the currencies to countries, like it is in hattrick. When you select your country the correct currency is selected automatically. All currencies that exist in hattrick are available in hatrick youthclub.
Our move to the new server is completed. Both administration and performance of the website have improved. We hope you'll be as pleased as we are and continue to help finance the server in October.
Simultaneously with the move we activated the french language version. See menu item "Edit your account" if you want to change your language. We also added another currency: the Canadian Dollar C$. If your currency is still missing, just drop a line and we'll add it.
Reminder: Please make sure you've selected the right country, because we are planning country-specific services. To do so see menu item "Edit your account".
- As the site becomes more and more popular our database growes bigger and bigger. Until today we didn't have to pay for the server hosting, because hattricks.de offered us hosting services for free. Unfortunately we can't expand there any more and thus we decided to change to a new server. The initial costs for the server could be paid by donations we have received until now. We hope future donations will pay the 15€ server costs per month and we can move to the new server within this month
- Choose your country under "Edit your account". At the moment this is only useful to recognize your country when donating via paypal. Since your country will be used for different functions in the future, please choose it right now! We derived your country from the selected languages following this pattern:
"Deutsch"->"Deutschland", "English"->"England", "Nederlands"->"The Nederlands", "Vlaams"->"Belgium". All others should check their settings manually!
We like to thank all of our members who pushed the Paypal button (Make a Donation) at the right upper corner of our page to donate.
We have been working really hard on youthclub. Therefore donations are really welcome, the more so as the advertising revenue is quiet low.
For that reason we thought about incentives for you to donate. What we do NOT want is to give the paying users more functions, as they do at hattrick, so we decided to free our donator of annoying advertisements.
We recieve the donations in Euro and you get 1000 klicks without advertising per Euro. That is a small "thank you" for all our donators, but everyone who has not donated (what is totally OK) may nevertheless use all of the functions.
We hope that the donations will become a bit more popular with this. :)
- Let youthclub make a lineup recommendation. It will give you a valid lineup which maximises star ratings based on previous player performances. If there are not enough players for a specific position, no player will be assigned to that position and you'll be informed.
- In the federation's forum we called on people to help translate hattrick youthclub and some hard-working fellas have almost finished the english translation. We are still in search for French and Spanish speaking translators. If you want to help please contact Homer-Simpson or Mackshot.
- The manual has been revamped. Texts have been added or rewritten and some screenshots have been added to describe functions clearly
- A FAQ has been added to the Wiki to give quick answers to the most common questions
- We added the possibility to add a weather-SE when adding a perfomance. Weather-SE affected performances will be excluded in predictions and best performances. See the manual for more details.
- Yesterday we welcomed our 1000th user. This makes us very happy, particularly when you look at the rapid growth during the last few weeks. Soon we will contact inactive users and delete their accounts, which might cause a small drop in user numbers. Later the deletion of inactive users will be automated so there are only active users left.
- Until now training for your players has been calculated regardless of the validity of your lineup. For most of you this this didin't matter but since we want to calculate training effects as accurate as possible we will check if your lineup was valid (including position changes during the match) and if it wasn't no training will be calculated. Whether your lineup was invalid or not can be seen on the 'Match overview', 'Lineup' and 'Performances' page.
- Youth friendlies provide less training effect than league matches . To what extent is the big question. We took the average of all speculations and set the value to 75% of a league match. If there are new findings this factor will be adjusted and you are welcomed to keep us up to date on this topic in the federation's forum. Anyway we reduced training effect by this factor.
The semester draws to a close and with it the written tests. That's why there hasn't happened a lot here worth a news entry. But here's a short summary of what we have done recently:
You can add a comment to every player's detail page, several minor flaws have been fixed and small visual changes have been made.
If you take a look in the federation's forum you can see our future plans. A major project, which will receive a lot of attention, is the translation function. And hopefully there will be some time left to add some more statistics.
When reporting a bug you can now add one or more screenshots to your report. This will make it easier for you to describe the problem and for us to understand what you mean.
Instead of entering a date manually you can now use a date-picker calendar. Click or tab into the date field and the calendar should show up. If the calendar is missing somewhere or you are having any problems using it, please contact a hy-team member!
- All non-EURO-hattrick-players can switch currencies in their account settings. Until now you can choose from US$, CHF and EURO (more on request).
- When adding a new match the fields primary and secondary training will be automatically filled with the type of training you used for your last match.
- On the page 'Sold Players' you can view a details page for your sold players. Furthermore you can append your income through transfer revenues here.
- There's a new page called skill analysis where you can see all your players ordered by their known skills.
- According to their rights user names will be coloured different. This makes it easier for you to notice hy-team members, although it will make more sense in the future when there are more team members than Homer-Simpson and me, Mackshot.
- We decided to cut 'Add player', 'Add match' and 'Add performance' from the menu. From now on these functions can be found on the players and matches page respectively. This is meant to increase the menu clarity and no functionality will be lost. If you have any questions feel free to ask us in the federation forum.
- Within a short period we allready have 500 users on our page. That is really great, keep going! :-)
- On the player details page you can now see how many minutes of training a player gained for a certain skill. Be aware of the fact that a winger for example gains only 50% of playmaking training, which equates to 45 minutes of training in this skill!
- We want to thank again all of the new members, we are happy about everyone of you! Every member helps to improve the page a bit, thank you!
- We corrected several errors made some aesthetic surgery
- There was the option "cup rules" for friendlys, but as this wasn't implemented at Hattrick, we removed it
- The manual at Wiki is now available to all of you, feel free to correct and improve it if you notice something that is wrong or imprecise. You can do this by registering at hattricks.de. We and all of the others would be grateful!
- From now on you can add substitutions to the lineup. If a player has been sent off by a red card or has been booked twice you can handle this on the lineup page too.
- Homer Simpson has finished a first draft of the manual for the hattrick youthclub. A link to the manual can be found at the bottom of the menu on the left. Since the manual is a wiki you are welcome to help us!
- We added an imprint including a link to our friendly web hosting partner
- On the players page you can find all your comments on that player's performances
- When replying to a message the subject and body of the original message will be added to the reply
- We have tested the whole site for XHTML-Validity. Besides some minor errors the site passed the test and should be viewable in all modern browsers.
We involved a "donate" button on the page. You may reward the hours which have been spent on creating this page by donate some money. The page will be available for everyone for free, so you don't have to donate to use the page's advantages. Feel free to donate, we'll be pleased about every donation.

- If you click on an other user's name, who's currently online, you'll be able to see information about the user and send him a message. Soon, there will be established an overview page wherefrom you may easily send messages and a team page.

- The statistics page is now also viewable when you are logged off. We also added source code statistics
